Got a spare sofa? A few kitchen bits you no longer need? Clothes that deserve a second home?
At CARE UK Charity, passing things on has always been at the heart of what we do. It’s how we started, and it’s still how we make the biggest difference today.
We urgently need good-quality furniture, clothing, and household essentials to support local people going through tough times.
Some items go straight to individuals and families in crisis. Others are sold in our charity shops in Warrington and Runcorn to raise the funds that keep everything running.
What We Can Accept
We always appreciate your generosity. Here are the kinds of items we can accept:
Sofas, armchairs, dining sets, beds, and wardrobes
Small kitchen appliances (kettles, toasters, microwaves)
New Bedding, towels, and curtains
Adult and children's clothing, shoes, and accessories
Bric-a-brac and homeware
Please note: We cannot accept items that are broken, stained, or missing parts. Due to safety regulations, we also cannot take car seats, used mattresses without fire labels, or gas appliances.

Dropping Off Smaller Items? Pop into either of our shops during opening hours. We’d love to see you!
Got Larger Items? Book a free furniture collection, and our friendly team will come to you.
Can’t Donate Items? You Can Still Help
While many of the things we provide are donated, some essentials like new pillows, microwaves, cleaning packs, and kitchenware often need to be purchased.
A one-off or monthly donation helps us fill the gaps, respond faster, and support even more people with the basics they need to live safely and comfortably.
