Volunteer with Us

Make a Difference with Your Time

We welcome volunteers with all kinds of skills and backgrounds. Whether you’re great with people, have an eye for merchandising, or enjoy working behind the scenes, we have a role for you. At CARE UK Charity, there are many ways to get involved, and we’re open to the skills and ideas you bring to the table.

From retail roles in our charity shops to admin tasks and even helping with our social media, your contribution is invaluable. Whatever your strengths, we can find a way for you to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Why Volunteer with CARE UK Charity?

Volunteering isn’t just about helping others - it’s about discovering how you can use your unique skills to support a great cause. Here’s how volunteering with us can benefit you:

  • Use Your Talents: Whether you’re skilled in customer service, merchandising, social media, or admin, we’ll match you with a role that makes the most of your abilities.

  • Flexibility and Variety: You can assist in sorting donations during our regular sessions, but there are plenty of other tasks to get involved with, from administrative duties to organising stock.

  • Boost Your Confidence: Take on new challenges, learn new skills, and grow in a supportive environment.

  • Make a Meaningful Impact: Every hour you contribute directly helps individuals and families in need.

Ways You Can Get Involved

We’re always looking for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

  • Retail Volunteers: If you enjoy working with people and have good customer service skills, you can help us create a great shopping experience in our charity shops. From assisting customers to organising and displaying stock, your time will directly support our projects.

  • Sorting Donations: Join our team of volunteers who help sort, organise, and prepare donations for sale during our regular sorting sessions. This vital role ensures that we make the most of every item we receive.

Beyond these key roles, we also welcome volunteers with other skills that could help us expand our reach. Whether you have digital expertise to support our social media efforts, or you’re a natural networker who can help us connect with businesses for corporate support and surplus stock donations, we’d love to hear from you. If you have a specific talent or idea, we’re always open to new ways of working together.

How to Get Started

Our volunteer schedule is flexible, and we’re happy to work around your availability. Sorting sessions run regularly, but you can also get involved in other tasks during those times.

  • Sorting Sessions:

    • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

    • Wednesday Evening: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Drop by during one of our sessions, or contact us to discuss other volunteer opportunities based on your skills and interests. Our email address is info@carekcharity.org.uk

Every Hour Makes a Difference

Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a regular commitment, every skill and every contribution helps us continue our vital work. Your unique talents can make a real difference in supporting local families and individuals in need.
