Help us to help people

We rely on the kindness of others to keep our service to the community going every day. There were, and still are, millions of refugees as well as many millions of people in need of help both here and abroad. With the help of our dedicated and enthusiastic supporters we hope to be able to continue to improve the lives of others for many years to come.

Help from businesses

There are three ways that local businesses and corporate organisations can help Care UK Charity in our vital mission.

1: Donate useful stock

The people we help need lots of simple items for daily living, such as toothpaste, nappies, socks, underwear, basic clothing and essentials for the home. If you have any you could spare, drop it off at our sorting depot and we will make sure it gets to the right people.

2: Sort donations

We always need extra help sorting the donations. It is a simple job but worthwhile task, and it can be great fun for a team of people from the same workplace. Why not pull together a group from your company and volunteer at our depot for a couple of hours? It is a good team building exercise and we do provide excellent cake.

3: Donate money

Not everything that is needed is actually donated. By giving us cash you enable us to purchase the essential extras, often hygiene and underwear items, that we do not get as donations.

If your company, business, or organisation can help in any way, please contact us today. We need you!

Help from individuals

Generous individuals who turn up at our depot and donate or sort are the foundation of everything we do. If you would like to help there are three ways to do it:

1: Donate clothes and household items

The people we help need lots of simple items for daily living, such as toothpaste, nappies, clean socks, new underwear. Basic clothing, coats and shoes. If you have any you could spare, you can drop it off at our sorting depot.

2: Sort donations

We need help sorting clothing, toys, books, bric. You name it, we need to sort it! It is a simple job, and it can be great fun. Can you volunteer at our depot for a couple of hours? A number of our volunteers are home bakers so we often provide extremely lovely cakes!

3: Donate money

Not everything that is needed is actually donated. By giving us cash you enable us to purchase the essential extras, often food and personal hygiene items, that we do not get as donations. It also helps us pay the electric bill.
