We are a Charity who Re-use, Re-purpose and Recycle items no longer useful to you to provide practical items to improve the lives of others. Care UK Charity began as a group collecting and sorting donated aid to send to refugees fleeing the violence and destruction of war-torn Syria and it has grown into something so much more.

Families are being brought to the UK by the United Nations under the resettlement scheme. They have with them only basic personal possessions.

Care UK Charity's Homes Team assists refugees who have settled in the UK and local people in the community referred by Social Services or other agencies and charities. These people often have almost nothing available to them to set up home or conduct their lives. The Care UK Charity Homes Team are always in urgent need of furniture, household items and soft furnishings, to create a comfortable home from home.

Currently our HOMES TEAM spend just under £5,000 per month of your donations on urgently requested items such as:

• Electrical kitchen packs
  Microwave, toaster, kettle, hot plate
  £100

• Cleaning essentials
  Airer, bin, washing up bowl, mop, toilet brush, dust pan and brush
  £35

• Cleaning packs
  £18

• Bedding packs
  New duvet and pillows with donated sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases
  £20/30 per person/couple.

• Hygiene packs
  Shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, flannel and sanitary towels
  £8.

We regularly purchase multiple sets of chest of drawers, beds and mattresses.
